Starting from the outside gate (barrier 15) he went back in the field to near last and made a long sustained run from the 800 metres to power away in the straight and prove much too good for the odds on favourite Whobegotu.Obviously a great thrill and to have stable jockey Clare Lindop the first female to win a VRC Derby in the saddle made the moment even more special
