Hi everyone

First up we must acknowledge and pay homage to our stable star Dalasan who has done our brand proud over the past two Saturday’s in Sydney. We could not be prouder of the horse after consecutive third placings in the Doncaster under Jason Holder and then with Kerrin McEvoy in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes. As it turned out Dalasan was our lone runner on Saturday with our two Morphettville acceptors African Awesome and Star Status both scratchings.

The stable did take three runners to Strathalbyn on Sunday and it was nice to see Jonquest break through and win his maiden. Gogolf Guru is still chasing that elusive first victory and she posted a fourth minor placing in running second on the day. Our other runner at Strathalbyn was the former Queensland galloper St Just who is sure to improve on her first S.A. outing.

This Saturday we intend running four horses on Saturday at Morphettville whilst at Gawler on Sunday Vancouver Velvet will be flying the stable flag.

At Morphettville Ichibansan is trying to earn a spot in the Group 1 S.A. Derby on May 8 when he runs in the Chairman’s Stakes. In the H C Nitschke Stakes the ultra consistent Daily Spirit and Extra Time provide us with a two pronged attack. Pearl Bandit, as honest as the day is long, is our other runner in a Benchmark 68 over 1400 metres where we have been fortunate to secure the services of star apprentice (and family friend) Will Price to pull some weight off his back.

Let’s hope all horses can acquit themselves well.

Don’t forget we have our stable Open Day this Sunday from 11am. Please RSVP to pamleon@optusnet.com.au
